Production Element, Bad Marriage Design and White Production Design recently produced the fashion show that saw the graduates of Middlesex University’s Fashion and Textiles course show off their work to the industry. Given the simple brief of ‘Rainbow’ the team produced a look that was both minimalist and saturated.

To achieve a flat and consistent light under the low and undulating ceiling of The Vinyl Factory in London, White PD specified a distributed rig of Arri 650w fresnels and 2k floods. The flexible rigging options and superior optics of the fixtures have made them a staple of the White PD fashion show stock. Rigging was a combination of aluminium scaff pipe and Prolyte H30d truss.

In addition to the catwalk rig, White PD supplied a number of truss installations both to enhance the look of the space and to protect the millimetre perfect clusters of dichroic filters and mirrors installed by Dan Ainsworth of Bad Marriage Design. The spectacular rainbow areas were lit by ‘effects’ Lighting Designer for the event Sara Burns, using White PD’s new Robe Robin Viva LED profile fixtures.

Audio reinforcement was supplied by White PD using a combination of D&B T10’s and D&B Y-subs driven by D80 amplifiers with a Yamaha QL1 for control.
