Very pleased to be working with White Space Creative Solutions again after the summer break, White Production Design supplied the technical and bespoke set elements for a publishers advertising conference in the heart of London at 8 Northumberland Avenue. The full package incorporated audio, lighting, projection, large format displays, curved stage platform and a number of custom set pieces.

A key focus of White PD’s involvement was the audio, managed by engineer Dave Heath. The set-up was based around a D&B Audiotechnik system, utilising elements from the T and Y series driven by D80 amplified controllers. The front end was courtesy of Shure ULX-D radio mics with DPA 4066 and 4060 heads throughout. With a Yamaha-centred and Cisco network control system, audio was kept in the digital domain from start to finish.

The set and backdrop was designed by White Space to be a feature and enhancement to the room, as opposed to a traditional panel-built set. A key part of the backdrop was a pair of curved descending panels that sat behind the lectern and the panel seating area. Produced in White Production Design’s CNC-equipped workshop, they helped to draw the audience into both the panel sessions and keynote speeches. Staging was made from a wide selection of Prolyte Litedeck sections, including curved pieces and bespoke step sections.

The lighting used a range of our hire stock including the Robe Viva LED-based profile, Chauvet WELL-Flex wireless uplighters and a selection of tungsten based Arri fixtures. A number of the Arrilite 2k’s were also used as set warmers and eye candy around the stage. Video elements for the job included stacked Panasonic PT-DZ870 DPL projectors, Samsung large format LED displays and Analog Way graphic switchers and control.
